Welocme to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic First School. We are so pleased that you have chosen to share your child's school journey with us. Starting Reception
This link contains information for parents about key skills your child is expected to know before starting in Reception on their first day. We understand all children are on their own journey and some of these skills may not yet be mastered. Please practise these at home to help them to get ready for school in September.

This booklet was designed to accompany the PowerPoint shared at the New Intake evening. This booklet gives parents all the basic information you need before your child starts school.

Early Learning Goals
This sheet outline the Early Learning Goals, these are the end of year expectations that most children will achieve at the end of the summer term. This gives parents and carers an idea of what we are working towards during the Reception year.
Pupil Premium
This leaflet explains the current Pupil Premium funding arrangements. School receive additional funding for families receiving certain benefits. This will be updated in the Autumn term.
